Mocha and I usually take a walk after dinner. This is a small sample of what I saw.
Mocha, of course, only paid attention to the smells and the other dogs.
The weather has been so bizarre that I thought the roses were already done. Fortunately, I was wrong.
Same goes for the irises. The red valerian (Jupiter’s Beard) is doing very well this year. It doesn’t care if the weather is bizarre or not.
This time of year the vines start taking over. I’m not sure what this one is, but it’s everywhere.

When we came home, Henri IV was waiting.
Gorgeous!!!!! Thank you for continuing the posts in email. I am having a hard time giving up Facebook too. I rarely ever write anything but it is how I stay in touch with how my friends are doing albeit on the surreptitious side š

It does feel like a real loss. I liked all those people I kept in touch with through Facebook. I amy open a new account. I haven’t decided yet.
We’re toying with the idea of visiting you this summer. When would work? 2-3 days? We might drive, or take the train.
Love the Jupiter’s Beard. I’ve never seen that before. The roses are still gorgeous. Your front door looks so inviting!
There was so much of it in California. It grows out of the walls here!
I can smell the roses ā¦ š¹š¹š¹ā¤ļø
So .lovely.
Thank you for sharing your walk, Eve. Such an invitation to color. Ephemera of the seasons. Nothing more intriguing. Roslyn
Thanks, Roslyn. So good to see you the other day.
Stunning roses! The front of your house (w Henri IV) reminds me of when your neighbor Simone asked you if you were going to water the plastic flowers w gasoline–things have moved in a beautiful way since then! Love your striped petunias.
That was so funny! It’s true, we only had plastic flowers then, and they were on their way to the poubelle.
Wow, what a gorgeous walk you had. Seattle flowers are beautiful now, but not as beautiful as Cordes-sur-Ciel. Love, Lynne
Not a valid comparison, Lynne. Seattle is a very beautiful city!
Lovely pictures, Eve. It’s too bad you can’t see my wildflower posts anymore. I suppose you can still visit the Contemplative Photography site, right? I haven’t been real active on that one lately. The mood comes and goes.
I’m sending an e-mail with prospective travel plans. Say hi to Tom for me.
I miss your pictures and other posts! I may open a new account. Looking forward to hearing your plans. Tom says hi back.
